The International Student Projects welcomed high-profile visitors

The Ambassadors of India and Brazil to Switzerland came to Olten for the Seminar in Switzerland of the International Student Projects of the FHNW School of Business.

This year's Seminar kicked off with an inspiring keynote speech by Mr. Marc Blaser, CEO of Blaser Swisslube, who have generously sponsored the International Student Projects for many years.

On Monday, 12 January 2024, the Focus India project team and delegation were honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr. Mridul Kumar, Ambassador of India to Switzerland. After speaking to the students about the remarkable growth story of India through the use of digital technology, His Excellency the Ambassador was given a short tour of the FHNW Campus Olten before discussing possibilities for further collaboration with Prof. Dr. Rolf Dornberger, Member of the Management Board of the FHNW School of Business, and Prof. Pieter Perrett, project supervisor of Focus India.

Further highlighting the standing of the International Student Projects, on Tuesday, 13 January, the project HOLATAM was honoured to receive Her Excellency Ms Cláudia Fonseca Buzzi, Ambassador of Brazil to Switzerland, as well as a representative of the Argentinian Embassy. Both graciously shared insights into their countries' rich cultural heritage and provided detailed information about the national economy, healthcare and efforts in the field of sustainability.

We are grateful for the representatives of India, Brazil and Argentina taking the time to visit the Seminar in Switzerland and for the inspiration they provided to this year's project teams and delegations. We look forward to the Seminars Abroad of Focus India, connectUS, exploreASEAN and HOLATAM, which will take place from 21 March – 5 April and to the Closing Event on 6 May, when the projects will share their experiences.

Many thanks to everyone involved for making this Seminar in Switzerland a resounding success!
