Developing a user-centered business model for autonomous mobility to help reduce car dependency and support the shift toward more sustainable public transport in Switzerland
Autonomous mobility has the potential to transform how we move, but how can it help reduce car dependency and promote sustainable transport?
This project explores how Mobility as a Service (MaaS) based on autonomous vehicles (AVs) can be designed to better meet users’ psychological needs and real-world routines. Using a mixed-methods approach, we identify key user groups, examine their motivations and barriers to change, and co-create tailored personas and use cases.
The goal is to develop a user-centered business model for AV-based MaaS that supports the shift from private car use to public transport. By aligning autonomous technologies with human needs, the project contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions and shaping the future of inclusive, sustainable mobility in Switzerland.
