Analysis of the causes of resistance and the dynamics of participation, as well as the development of measures for a constructive and consensus-oriented cooperation.
When redesigning public road spaces, a variety of needs and perspectives come into play. For projects to be successfully implemented, it is therefore particularly important to engage in constructive dialogue with the public, as well as with organisations and opinion leaders. The project examines how such participatory processes can be designed to foster dialogue and cooperation.
The aim is to consolidate existing knowledge from research and practice and use it to develop concrete measures for constructive and consensus-oriented collaboration. For this purpose, scientific studies will be analysed, real-world case studies examined, and successful and problematic processes compared.
On this basis, a practical catalogue of measures will be developed, containing recommendations on participation, communication and the involvement of relevant stakeholders. The project contributes to improving participatory processes and making the implementation of road projects more effective and acceptable.
