Profile

Dr. Christoph Eisemann is a lecturer at the Institute for Competitiveness and Communication at the FHNW School of Business. He is co-coordinator of the Communication subject group and teaches bachelor's and master's degree programmes as well as continuing education courses in interpersonal communication, internal and external organisational communication, presentation skills, critical thinking and scientific work, and German language through media productions for French-speaking students. Christoph Eisemann supervises students' academic work and project work for external clients. He conducts research at the I.M.P.A.C.T. Competence Centre for Im-pactful Communication in the Age of New Technologies at the interface between people, technol-ogy and society.

Previously, Christoph Eisemann taught at the University of Basel (media studies) and worked in Germany and Switzerland in communications for companies and political institutions (Vitra, Swiss Federal Office for the Environment, Consulat Général de France, Institut Français). At the De-partment of Media Education at Ludwigsburg University of Education, he conducted research for his dissertation on youth culture C Walk on the social web, for which he was awarded the 2016 Doctoral Prize by the Division for Media Education of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Erziehung-swissenschaften DGFE. On behalf of German state media authorities, he collaborated on media research studies on cyberbullying and mobile phone use. Christoph Eisemann completed his studies at the Stuttgart Media University of Applied Sciences Hochschule der Medien (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (Media)). He also studied at the Sorbonne Nouvelle de Paris, Paris III, and received his Dr. phil. degree from the Department of Media Education at the Ludwigsburg University of Education.
