Activities at FHNW

  • Lecturer and module coordinator for the module ‘Critical Thinking and Academic Writing’
  • Teaching in supporting workshop formats for student projects, e.g. on collecting and analysing qualitative data as part of the Bachelor's thesis
  • Co-leader of the faculty group ‘Scientific Methods & Student Projects’
  • Responsible for practical student projects between the university and external clients in the BSc Business Administration programme in Basel
  • Supervisor of student work (Bachelor theses, practical projects, literature papers)
  • Research focus in the area of (digital) transformation in higher education and in insurance companies
  • Collaboration in projects for the development of the university (e.g. on ‘Assurance of Learning’ as part of AACSB accreditation)
Profile

Sarah-Louise Richter first studied Asian Studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. After successfully completing her studies, between 2008 and 2015 she worked for Zurich Lebensversicherung AG in project management, strategy development and governance in Bonn and at the headquarter in Zurich. During this time, Sarah-Louise Richter also earned a Bachelor of Science in Insurance Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne with a focus on project and process management, reinsurance and human resources.

At the end of 2015, Sarah-Louise Richter joined the School of Business of the University of Applied Sciences of Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) as a research assistant. During this time, she earned a Master of Science in International Management, worked in the competence area E-Business/swissDIGIN Forum for the advancement of electronic invoicing between companies (www.swissdigin.ch) and supervised student projects.

Since 2019, Sarah-Louise Richter works as a lecturer, mainly in the area of scientific working methods. In addition, her practice-oriented research extends the body of knowledge in the areas of insurance management and digital transformation. As the person responsible for practical students' projects, she interlinks the university, students and external clients and thus facilitates multilateral transfer of knowledge.
