DC4HC provides transparency regarding the digital maturity of healthcare institutions and enables targeted, comparable, and scalable digitization decisions thanks to AI-supported benchmarking.
DC4HC developed a comprehensive digital maturity model to assess the digital maturity of healthcare institutions. Based on extensive literature research—in which 124 specialist articles were evaluated and 118 codes and 1,353 knowledge objects were created for the database and the AI model—a novel, detailed model for non-medical support processes was developed. It comprises 197 indicators and thus significantly surpasses existing maturity assessments.
The model forms the core of the ABILI platform, which enables healthcare institutions to measure their maturity on a regular basis. This allows them to track their digital progress over time, evaluate investments, and plan targeted digitization projects. Benchmarking allows maturity levels, measures, and developments to be compared with similar organizations or the entire sector – an approach that promotes the exchange of experience and enables a continuous cycle of learning and improvement.
