      Course description

      The focus of this module is to gain international exposure and competence by working in teams on an international project in the field of mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The project is an interdisciplinary, interactive, cross-cultural course focusing on industry and company consolidation. The aim is to merge a Swiss company with a foreign competitor.

      Collaborative part

      • Interactive lesson/s in an international/intercultural virtual classroom (synchronous).
      • Assignments for international/intercultural pairs (E-tandems) (synchronous/asynchronous).
      • Assignments for Global virtual teams (GVTs) (synchronous/asynchronous).
      • Working with collaborative tool/s such as Padlet, whiteboard, Miro, jam board etc. as an asynchronous extension of the international virtual classroom.
      • Student’s presentations in the last session.
       

      Conditions FHNW-students

      Cross-country interaction requires time flexibility.

       

      Good to know

      This module is also part of the Virtual Exchange at FHNW and invites students from partner universities to join.
