Admission criteria

Applicants need to be officially nominated for exchange studies by their home university. Make sure there is a valid student exchange agreement between our institutions. Once nominated, students will receive an e-mail inviting them to apply. Please prepare an official Transcript of records and proof of sufficient language skills for your application dossier.

Teaching language & language requirements

German on Bachelor Level, English on Master Level. Incoming students must have a language level of B2 or higher in German or English, respectively.

Autumn semester: Nomination 15 April | application 15 May
Spring semester: Nomination 15 October | application 15 November

Academic year

Autumn semester: CW 38 - CW 2
Spring semester: CW 8 – CW 24

Cost of living

1’500-2’000 Swiss Francs per month, including housing, food, transport and entertainment.


Exchange students from a European partner university may be eligible to receive a Swiss Mobility grant from the Swiss Government. Please contact the international coordinator at your Home Institution. Further funding options are:
