The hub for high-quality, future-oriented education at the FHNW School of Life Sciences
The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) serves as the central point of contact for curriculum development, educational innovation and academic support – for students, lecturers and staff across the FHNW School of Life Sciences.
Our interdisciplinary team develops modern learning environments, supports students and lecturers in their daily academic work, and strengthens the didactic capabilities of educators.
We are responsible for all life sciences degree programmes (Bachelor’s and Master’s) and contribute actively through our own teaching. We also conduct research on teaching and learning in the Life Sciences, publish scientific work, and develop new approaches to emerging cross-disciplinary challenges, including higher education didactics, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, ethics and science, and quantum computing.
Through these activities, we help advance applied life sciences education at universities of applied sciences – academically, methodologically and technologically.
