Prof. Dr. Lilian Gilgen,

Lilian Gilgen did a MSc in pharmaceutical science, acquired professional experience as a pharmacist and completed a doctorate in patient-oriented pharmaceutical care at the University of Basel, before gaining project and management experience at firms in the pharmaceutical industry. She went on to lead development cooperation projects in Latin America and Asia for several years. Since 2018, Lilian has been working at the FHNW School of Life Sciences, where she played a central role in the successful introduction and coordination of the BSc in Life Sciences program. In 2021 she was appointed deputy head of education responsible for curriculum development and is also a lecturer in the modules "My Future" and "Knowledge Communication".
As Joint-Head together with Julia Rausenberger she is responsible for Higher Education since September 2023.
Lilian Gilgen spent her childhood and youth in The Netherlands, the UK and South Africa, is multilingual, and holds an executive MBA from La Salle University (Philadelphia) in addition to her other degrees.
