Our offer

The infrastructure of the optics laboratory supports the following activities in the fields of optics and photonics. Essentially these are

  • Optical measurements and beam shaping using active and passive components from free-beam optics (lasers, LEDS, lenses, mirrors, polarizers, optical gratings and prisms,...) and fibre optic technology
  • Characterization, in pulsed as well as continuous wave operation of light sources and laser diodes (power range < 1 mW up to several hundred watts)
  • Absorption, reflection and transmission measurements

For more information or to discuss a collaboration, please contact Renato Minamisawa.

Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the optical laboratory mainly includes the following components:

  • Permanently installed optical table with an extensive collection of optical and mechanical components that are used for setups with beam or fiber optics Permanently installed optical table with an extensive collection of optical and mechanical components that are used for setups with beam or fiber optics
  • Calibrated 2p-4p integrating sphere (NIST-tracable) with 1 m diameter for precise photometric and radiometric measurements of larger sources. Calibrated 2p-4p integrating sphere (NIST-tracable) with 1 m diameter for precise photometric and radiometric measurements of larger sources.
