Target audience
This seminar is designed for professionals in the chemical and life sciences industries.
It is also open to FHNW students. The combination of working professionals and students creates a dynamic and mutually enriching learning environment. While professionals benefit from fresh academic perspectives and the chance to connect with emerging talent, students gain insight into real-world industry practices, expand their network and engage directly with experienced practitioners.
Requirement: Bring your personal notebook/laptop.
Structure and programme contents
This 5-day seminar combines presentations from industry leaders, interactive lectures, real-world case studies and practical exercises. This ensures that participants not only understand the concepts but can also apply them effectively. One or two guided excursions will provide first-hand insight into how digitalisation and automation are being implemented in modern industrial environments.
The seminar covers the following topics:
- Molecular Modelling / Receptor Simulation using Schrödinger’s Maestro Software
- Databases and data integration with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL)
- Drug discovery: examples and case studies
- Extended reality (Augmented and Virtual)
- Laboratory Automation and Robotics - fully automated laboratories
Individual days are also bookable (330 CHF per day).
