Promoting a resource-efficient economy with innovative, tailor-made, measurable and economical solutions
Promoting a resource-efficient economy with innovative, tailor-made, measurable and economical solutions, thereby making an important contribution to the efficient and sustainable use of resources - this is the mission of the association Reffnet 1-3.
The FHNW School of Life Sciences is a member of Reffnet 1-3. Our experts contribute their knowledge in order to reduce the environmental impact and the dependence of Swiss companies on raw materials. To this end, the methods of cleaner production, industrial symbiosis and life cycle assessment are applied.
Within the framework of Reffnet, more than ten Swiss companies from the food production, metal and wood processing, hottelerie and catering sectors have been able to reduce their ecological footprint and cut costs.
