Driving Digital and Sustainable Transformation in Supply Chains and Value Networks
Dr. Dominik Wörner is an expert in Supply Chain Management with a focus on the digital and sustainable transformation of value creation networks. He is Co-Head of the research focus area Supply Chain & Value Networks at the Institute of Information Systems. After studying Business Administration at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany, and completing study visits at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, and the Loyola Institute of Business Administration in Chennai, India, he earned his PhD in cooperation with AUDI AG, focusing on in-house logistics and sequencing planning. Following his doctoral studies, he held various positions in the automotive industry, where, in his most recent role, he was responsible for the digital transformation of more than ten manufacturing plants. Dominik Wörner has over ten years of industry experience in multinational corporations.
His professional interests include the design of global production and logistics networks as well as the digital and sustainable transformation of companies and value networks. His work particularly focuses on the use of maturity models and knowledge-based methods, as well as AI-supported quantitative approaches for data-driven optimization of value creation processes.
