A new dynamic light scattering technique to analyze dispersions

Introduction of a new modulated 3D cross-correlated dynamic light scattering instrument to enable product analytics of aggregating colloids and concentrated dispersions

This CTI project No. 18180.2 PFNM.NM is in collaboration with the company LS Instruments (www.lsinstruments.ch/company/cooperation_projects). A more recent development in dynamic light-scattering has been the introduction of modulated 3D cross-correlation (mod 3D). This project will greatly advance the technique by utilizing a new laser generation, algorithm development, and a scattering configuration so far not implemented with mod 3D. Target applications are the analytics of aggregating colloids (e.g. protein formulations) and turbid concentrated dispersions.
