Our speaker:
Minoru Aosaki is Director of International Affairs Office at the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA). With extensive expertise in global financial stability, he manages policymakers who represent the JFSA in the work of various international fora dealing with financial regulation.
In addition to his leadership at the JFSA, Mr. Aosaki has been playing active roles within the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, including as a member of the Policy and Standards Group since 2019 and the Chair of the Liquidity Expert Group since 2021. Throughout his career at the JFSA, he has served in key positions with the focus on the development and implementation of international prudential standards.
Mr. Aosaki holds a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from Hitotsubashi University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cornell Law School. He has also contributed to academic exchange as a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University.
