Graduation ceremony for the MBA programmes at the FHNW School of Business, FHNW School of Business

Last Wednesday, 24 June, 76 graduates from the FHNW’s three MBA programmes received their diplomas. The graduation ceremony took place at the Elisabethenkirche in Basel.

  • News

In a festive setting, the graduates of the three MBA programmes were honoured on the evening of 24 June for successfully completing their studies. The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise their achievements and to raise a glass together to mark an important milestone in their professional and personal development.

The graduates and guests were welcomed by Dr Rico Travella, Director of the FHNW School of Business. Mr Stefan Tschumi, Head of Human Resources and Sustainability at Transgourmet Schweiz AG and an alumnus of the programme, then delivered his congratulatory address to the graduates on the topic ‘Skills That Move Organisations – and Careers – Forward’.

Three MBA programmes – one common goal

Through its MBA programmes, the FHNW School of Business offers a range of higher education qualifications for experienced professionals and managers who wish to develop their management skills in a targeted manner.

A total of 42 graduates successfully completed the FHNW Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. The programme provides in-depth business knowledge and practical management skills. It is aimed at specialists and managers who wish to further develop their abilities for demanding leadership roles.

Twenty-four graduates successfully completed the Dual Degree MBA FHNW Cross-Cultural Leadership / Edinburgh Business School programme. This English-language programme combines international management perspectives with in-depth knowledge of intercultural leadership and prepares participants to successfully take on responsibility in a global environment.

Ten graduates successfully completed the Swiss-Asian MBA/Swiss International MBA. This programme, which is also taught in English, places particular emphasis on international business and includes study placements abroad. With weekly webinars, the programme enables students to participate regardless of where they live.

By successfully completing their MBA programme, the graduates have impressively demonstrated their ability to tackle demanding academic challenges alongside their professional and personal commitments. Balancing studies, work and personal life requires a high degree of discipline, perseverance and personal responsibility. The FHNW School of Business warmly congratulates all graduates on this outstanding achievement and wishes them every success in their future professional and personal endeavours.

A ceremonial diploma presentation and a convivial finale

The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial presentation of diplomas by the four programme directors and the recognition of the best theses. To the applause of those present, the graduates received their diplomas and were able to celebrate this significant moment together with family, friends, fellow students and lecturers.

The successful event drew to a close with a reception in a pleasant atmosphere, featuring numerous stimulating conversations, and left everyone involved with fond memories of a special evening.
