Traditional transmission tubes are increasingly replaced by solid-state amplifiers. But in this case multiple amplifiers must be operated in parallel - this circuit is enabled by a resonant combiner.

Solid State Transmitter
The company Ampegon produces among others RF transmitters and RF amplifiers. Whereas RF transmission tubes are used as one single piece, solid state amplifiers must be combined by a parallel circuit. This parallelization must be realized with a minimum of power loss.
The parallelization is enabled by a resonant combiner where the outputs of the different amplifiers are fed in and the combines output power is taken out.
The structure and design method of resonant combines was developed in a joint CTI project of Ampegon and IME.
