  • Material characterization: microstructural investigations, phase analysis, and mechanical properties of metals
  • Development of materials and technologies: thermal analysis and thermodynamic simulation of metals
  • Development of thermal processes for heat treatment and brazing, especially under vacuum
  • Thermochemical processes (nitriding, boriding) and coating technologies (PVD, thermal spraying)
  • Optimization of tribological and corrosive stress behavior
  • Thermal electron beam technologies (joining, ablation, surface layer treatment, wire-based additive manufacturing)
