The Electrical and Information Technology degree can also be completed on a part-time basis while working.
You can choose to study part-time while working and set your own number of study hours. The degree usually takes eight semesters. In addition to the degree, students can work for a maximum of 60% of the time. In the case of students working for a greater percentage of time, the degree will take a correspondingly longer amount of time.
If gainful employment occupies at least 50% of the time and is a qualified occupation in the electrical engineering sector, it can count as 18 credits toward the degree.
Teaching time
Each week you will take four to five teaching blocks, each comprising three to four lessons. This corresponds to approximately 20 ECTS points per semester; full-time students take modules amounting to approximately 30 ECTS points per semester.
You have a certain amount of freedom in terms of deciding your schedule in order to coordinate your degree with the requirements of your workplace Expect at least 30 study hours per week (contact hours and self-study).
For students attending on a part-time basis while working, the same requirements apply as for the students attending on a full-time basis or part-time basis without working. In particular, the same module catalogue applies. Those studying on a part-time basis while working have a restricted range of options to choose from for reasons of time.
