Ceramic materials offer great potential for functional and biomedical applications, for example as implant materials, functional coatings or support structures. This talk presents current and planned research activities at the FHNW School of Engineering and Environment that focus on the fabrication, characterisation and functionalisation of ceramic materials. Particular emphasis will be placed on potential links with life sciences and opportunities for collaboration.
