Curriculum Vitae

Flavio Ferri Benedetti (Scandiano, Italien, 1983) wanderte schon als Kind mit seiner Familie nach Spanien aus. Dort erhielt er 2004 das Klavierdiplom (Vila Real), einen Master-Abschluss in Übersetzen und Dolmetschen (Universitat Jaume I, 2005) und den PhD in Literatur cum laude (Universität de València, 2014). 2006 bis 2010 studierte er Historischen Gesang an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis bei Prof. Gerd Türk und schloss sowohl den Bachelor– als auch den Masterstudiengang erfolgreich ab.
Seit 2012 leitet er an der Schola Cantorum Basiliensis als Gast den Kurs Italiano per i cantanti. Im Frühjahr 2015 hat Flavio auch an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste das Fach Gesang unterrichtet. Ab dem Herbstsemester 2018 erhielt er ebenfalls an der ZHdK eine feste Verpflichtung für Historische Aufführungspraxis Gesang.

Seit 2000 singt Flavio Ferri Benedetti als Altus weltweit, u. a.  im Theater Basel (2010), Prinzregententheater München (2011), Oper Frankfurt (2011), Opéra Royal de Versailles (2012), Opéra de Nice (2012), Liederhalle Stuttgart (2012), Ópera de Oviedo (2012), Wigmore Hall (2014), Real Coliseo de Carlos III in El Escorial (2014-2016), Hamarikyu Hall Tokyo (2014), Händel Festspiele Karlsruhe (2015–2016), Theater an der Wien (2015), Theater Freiburg (2015), Styriarte (2017), Boston Early Music Festival (2019). Sein Repertoire reicht von mittelalterlicher bis zu postromantischer Musik und er hat CDs mit Werken aus Renaissance, Barock und Klassik veröffentlicht. Er unterrichtet leidenschaftlich gern und gibt Masterclasses in Spanien und in der Schweiz.
