Curriculum Vitae

Han-Na Lee was born in Seoul. From 1999 to 2003, she studied piano at the Presbyterian College and Theological Seminary in Seoul. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (piano/church music) with honors. From 2003-2005, she studied harpsichord at the Korean National University of Arts (Master of Arts). From 2005 she studied harpsichord with Andrea Marcon at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She also received lessons in basso continuo playing with Jörg-Andreas Bötticher and in fortepiano with Jesper Bøje Christensen and graduated with honors (Diploma in Early Music) in 2009. This was followed in 2011 by a master's degree in specialized historical performance practice at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Jörg-Andreas Bötticher. In 2018, she passed the master class exam with Nicolas Parle at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater 'Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy' in Leipzig with distinction.

She performed as a soloist in the concert gallery Pianofort'no (presentation concert Young Soloists), the series of the Freunde Alter Musik Basel, at the Early Music Festival in Leipzig and as an accompanist in various master classes and numerous competitions (Cesti Singing Competition in Innsbruck, Voci Olimpiche in Vicenza. ...) as a chamber musician together with various orchestras (La Cetra, Capriccio Basel, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Orchester Biel, Musikkollegium Winterthur...), ensembles (Ensemble Matís, Ensemble Musica Amici, Ensemble F , Ensemble Tempora, Ensemble Meridiana,...), at the Theater Basel, at festivals (Innsbruck, Magdeburg, Dartingon...) in Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, UK, Finland and Japan.

She was a first prize winner at the Seoul Symphony Orchestra Competition (2004), second prize winner at the 31st Masterplayers International Music Competition (2011), semi-finalist at the Bach Competition in Leipzig (2010), first prize winner at the Wanda Landowska Competition for Harpsichord and Orchestra and second prize winner for the Wanda Landowska Prize (2019).

Since 2006 she works as a répétiteur for harpsichord at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel and since 2010 at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis including the music school of the SCB, as well as at the Conservatory Fribourg.
