Curriculum Vitae

Roberto Cereghetti began studying trombone at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana (Lugano), obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Performance in 2014.
He then continued his musical studies at the Conservatory of Freiburg im Breisgau (DE) where he obtained a Master in Ear Training with Professor Wolfgang Motz in 2016. After approaching the study of conducting through military music, he obtained his Master's degree in Conducting for wind orchestra at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in 2019, under the guidance of Franco Cesarini.
Roberto Cereghetti's musical career is divided between teaching and conducting.
Since 2013, he has been teaching music theory and listening at the "FeBaTi" (Federazione Bandistica Ticinese) master classes. Between 2016 and 2018, he was a teacher of solfeggio and listening at the Conservatory of Freiburg im Breisgau (DE). Since 2018 he has been an ear training teacher at the Basel Conservatory and since 2019 he has been a music theory teacher at the National Academy in Trossingen (DE).
He currently serves as artistic director of two ensembles: since 2015 he has been conducting the 'Musikverein Concordia Dornach' and since 2020 he has been director of the 'Musikgesellschaft Niederhasli'.
Roberto Cereghetti serves as an expert for wind instrument examinations in Music Schools or Band Federations, as well as in professional conservatories as an ear training and harmony expert. He is also a juror at various cantonal band competitions.
