We mourn the loss of our long-time former lecturer Sally Jans-Thorpe.
Sally taught ear training at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis from 1980-2012, and thus a central subject for aspiring musicians.
She remained close to our institute beyond her retirement, continued to be a committed advocate for students, and was currently still active as an examination expert - which makes us all the more saddened by her sudden death. We will greatly miss her empathetic personality and her expertise. We send our deepest condolences to her family.
