After her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and American Studies in Tübingen, Jara completed a Master's degree in Cultural Economics in Passau. She also used her time as a student to gain experience abroad in Michigan and Wales. After graduating, she returned to the border triangle and worked for several years as a sales manager at a pharmaceutical company in the region. There she was responsible for looking after various customers and acted as an internal interface.
