Curriculum Vitae

Sarah Saviet is a violinist dedicated to the performance of contemporary music. She appears regularly as a soloist and chamber musician and is a member of the Saviet/Houston Duo and Ensemble Mosaik. Recent highlights include the world premiere of Sarah Hennies’ 90-minute duo at the Donaueschingen Music Days and at hcmf// Huddersfield, as well as performances at ECLAT Stuttgart, Ultraschall Berlin, the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Eavesdropping, and the Aldeburgh Festival.

Sarah has held guest artist positions at the Berlin University of the Arts, the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, the University of Huddersfield, the University of Chicago, and the University of California, San Diego. Her debut solo album SPUN (Coviello Contemporary) as well as her duo's album Lines We Gather (Winter and Winter) were both nominated for the Deutsche Schallplattenkritik Prize in the category of contemporary music. She has also released solo and duo recordings on Winter & Winter, all that dust, another timbre, and Marginal Frequency. In addition to her artistic work, she teaches violin at the Darmstadt Summer Course for New Music.
