SkillResilience4EU

Resilience through re-skilling and upskilling for European labour market in transition

Horizon EU research project on resilience skills for the European labour market

The digital and ecological transformation is leading to far-reaching changes in the European labour market. Sectors and regions are affected to varying degrees. This uneven development can favour or disadvantage certain sectors, locations and social groups and thus jeopardise social cohesion.

The EU-funded SkillResilience4EU project is investigating the effects of this change on the labour markets in the tourism, food, transport, agriculture and energy sectors. It is developing a tool for policy makers to tackle the associated challenges.

SkillResilience4EU also maps and evaluates training and retraining programmes and provides practical recommendations and resources for individuals and employers - with a particular focus on career guidance and development.

The project is carried out by an interdisciplinary consortium of researchers from different countries, institutions and universities.

The project is in cooperation with the FHNW School of Business (Prof Dr Tina Haisch) and the HGK Basel (Prof Dr Nicolaj van der Meulen, Head of Continuing Education at the Institute Arts and Design Education (IADE).
