In our plastics workshop we produce display models and prototypes. Preliminary models are often made of polystyrene, final models usually of polyurethane foam.
Thermoplastics such as polystyrene, PET, or acrylic glass sheets can be formed with linear bending appliances or our thermoforming machine. Elastomers and thermosets are either cast or laminated. Our workshop is a universal workroom equipped with conventional, stationary machines for sawing, drilling, turning, turning, milling and grinding. We also have a wide range of hand-held machines and small parts used in work processes.
Techniques / machinery
Milling
Thanks to the digital displays, rotary table and dividing head, we are able to work our machines with high precision.

The jig borer is equipped with a quick tool-change system and an accurate centring glass.

Sawing
Belt saws
Belt saws in three different sizes for workpieces of different thickness and radii.


Model-making circular saw
We can cut a wide range of materials using our compact “Hammer” circular saw.



Drilling
The table drills are also suitable for drilling highly delicate acrylic glass. We also have drilling tools for various materials and diameters.


Turning
In the workshop, there are two lathes with a stepless drive, a swivel headstock, along with a wide range of accessories. The lathes can be used to produce rotationally symmetrical bodies from wood and various other model-making materials.


Thermoforming machine
Thermoplastics can be formed using a master model, heat, air pressure, and vacuum.


Turning
Conventional lathes are suitable for almost all kinds of materials.

Planer
The combi planer has a carbide-tipped cutter block which can also process polyurethane or fibreboards of medium density.


Grinding
In addition to a wide range of hand grinders, the plastics workshop also has a set of stationary belt, plate, and cylindrical grinding machines.
