Bérénice Serra, former Guest Professor at the Institute Digital Communication Environments (IDCE) at HGK Basel, has been awarded fellowships at Collegium Helveticum and Akademie Schloss Solitude, and will continue teaching at HGK Basel.
After three years as a Guest Professor at the Institute Digital Communication Environments (IDCE) of the HGK Basel, Bérénice Serra is setting off for new horizons. Along with a big thank you for her contribution to our teaching team, we'd like to warmly congratulate her on being awarded two prestigious fellowships: first, a fellowship at the Collegium Helveticum — ETH Zürich / UZH / ZHdK, where she will develop her research project "Watch your kids!", an investigation into the politicization of the adult-child relationship through media technologies; followed by the Solitude Fellowship (2026–2028) at Akademie Schloss Solitude, in Stuttgart.
We are delighted that Bérénice will continue to teach at HGK Basel on a part-time basis, keeping her ties with IDCE alive. She will pursue topics she developed over these three years, related to OSINT methodologies, tactical media and networked publishing.
Bérénice Serra's work continues to gain international visibility: this October, her installation Kudos (2026) will be shown at the Biennale Chroniques in Marseille within the group show Disobedience in the Digital Age, and this autumn her work also travels to Mongolia, featured in the group exhibition Le Geste du langage: Calligraphie & imaginaires numériques at LKHAM Gallery, Ulaanbaatar, alongside French and Mongolian artists.
We warmly congratulate Bérénice Serra on these achievements and wish her all the best for the future.
