We develop intelligent automation solutions for industrial and infrastructure applications. Our focus is on efficient processes, connected systems, and the practical use of modern control and automation technologies.

Research focus areas

Projects

Selected projects

In application-oriented research projects, we work together to develop concrete solutions to real-world challenges – efficiently, collaboratively, and with direct added value for your company. Start your next innovation or development project with us.

Simulation and Optimization of High-voltage circuit breakers

The Pfiffner Group is working on the development of a new type of high-voltage circuit-breaker with environmentally friendly insulating gas for use in substations. A 1D simulation model is to be developed in order to optimize individual parameters of the complex system.

Electromagnetic shielding with conductive plastic housings

To shield interfering signals from electronics, plastics must meet high EMC requirements. They are then used as substitute materials for die-cast metal housings.
