      Moritz Greiner-Petter

      Moritz Greiner-Petter

      Researcher

      Short biography

Moritz Greiner-Petter is designer and junior researcher at the Institute Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM) and its Critical Media Lab.

As a researcher and practitioner, he is interested in critical approaches towards the media aesthetics and epistemes of information technologies. In his research, he is investigating design paradigms, materialities and epistemologies of digital interfaces and their role in shaping processes of thinking, collaboration and design. His design practice often addresses the generative and infrastructuring effects of media formats, explored through experimental prototypes, tools and publishing formats.

Currently, he is researcher in the SNSF-funded project Commons in Design at the research unit of the Institute Contemporary Design Practices (ICDP).

Moritz has a background in Visual Communication and Digital Media Design and holds a diploma degree from the Berlin University of the Arts.
