Project 5 Electrical and Information Technology
Projects 5 and 6 are crucial for the transition into professional life. Here, students can demonstrate the skills they have acquired and their creativity under realistic conditions in the context of a practical problem. Depending on the problem, the project contains aspects from the areas of hardware or software development, simulation, or calculation.
Contents:
- Familiarisation with the topic
- Preparation of the project clarification incl. specifications and project plan
- Implementation phase (technical work, demonstrating an engineering- and results-oriented approach)
- Project management (implementation of milestones, communication with the client and the supervisor, project controlling)
- Documentation of project results (report)
- Final presentation
The project is carried out in parallel to lessons, with the exception of the project week. The project can be carried out individually or in teams of two, depending on the topic. As a rule, project 5 forms the basis for a continuation as a project 6.
- The students are able to familiarise themselves with a new subject and to close gaps in their knowledge independently. They know the state of the art and can map it to the project goals.
- They can plan, implement, and successfully complete projects alone or in pairs.
- They critically reflect on project progress and react appropriately to deviations.
- They communicate proactively, efficiently and competently with clients, supervisors and other specialists.
- They are able to prepare the project documentation according to the guidelines and present the project results convincingly.
