Module description - Project 5 Electrical and Information Technology
(Projekt 5 Elektro- und Informationstechnik)

ECTS 6.0
Level advanced
Overview Projects 5 and 6 are crucial for the transition into professional life. Here, students can demonstrate the skills they have acquired and their creativity under realistic conditions in the context of a practical problem. Depending on the problem, the project contains aspects from the areas of hardware or software development, simulation, or calculation.

  • Familiarisation with the topic
  • Preparation of the project clarification incl. specifications and project plan
  • Implementation phase (technical work, demonstrating an engineering- and results-oriented approach)
  • Project management (implementation of milestones, communication with the client and the supervisor, project controlling)
  • Documentation of project results (report)
  • Final presentation

The project is carried out in parallel to lessons. The project can be carried out individually or in teams of two, depending on the topic. As a rule, project 5 forms the basis for a continuation as a project 6.
