Project 5 Data Science

Project 5 is a preparation module for the bachelor thesis. It contains an open ques-tion from the field of Data Science and is completed by an individual or as a team of two.

The work usually involves:

• Exact formulation of the problem, project objectives and respective tasks.
• Analysis of the problem involving the relevant stakeholders (customer, end-user, supervisor, etc.).
• Implementation of a solution.
• Reflection on the results.
• Documentation of the work in a project report.
• Presentation and demonstration of results to stakeholders and customer
The supervisor can set additional objectives and priorities during the project.

Students are able to…

• analyse an open question in the field of data science independently, process it professionally and classify the results obtained correctly.
• create a project report that contains all essential aspects of the project in a concise and consistent way.
• present all essential aspects of the project in a professional and concise way to a professional audience.
• document the project outcomes in a way that serves the project purpose
• communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
• drive project success constantly by including feedbacks from customers and stakeholders and managing risks.
