Prof. Andreas Wenger,

Prof. Andreas Wenger, architect ETH, scenographer. 2001 - 2021 Head of the Institute of Interior Architecture and Scenography at the Academy of Art and Design HGK FHNW in Basel, entrusted with the management of the content concept of the course. Since 2003 full-time lecturer in architectural design in the BA Interior Design and Scenography programme and from 2008 to 2014 mentor at the Masterstudio Design at the HGK FHNW. Andreas Wenger was the initiator and head of the CTI-funded research project `intelligent skin` - The fourth dimension of the façade, 2004-06. From 2003 to 2011 he represented the interests of the Academy of Art and Design in the Dreispitz Campus Project. He was co-founder and co-director of the «International Scenographers` Festival IN3», which was held biennially from 2006 to 2010. Since 2021 he is head of the BA Interior Architecture and Scenography programme and of the Masterstudio Scenography at the Institute Contemporary Design Practices ICDP. Andreas Wenger serves on various juries and in appointment procedures as a specialist and expert judge and is involved as an expert witness in accreditation procedures at European universities.

He belongs to the SIA Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects, the Association of Swiss Interior Architects VSI.ASAI, the REG Foundation, Swiss Register of Engineers, Architects and Technicians, registered in Register A as an architect and as an interior architect. Andreas Wenger is a member of the Basel Theatre Festival Association.

Andreas Wenger is a member of the Basel2030 committee, for a climate-friendly Basel with net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and is involved in the Circular Design Processes and Practices CDPP network at the Academy of Art and Design.

Andreas Wenger is a member of the International Council of Museums ICOM.
