Structure and programme contents

The curriculum of the program is influenced by the tradition of Swiss Graphic Design and the current academic perspective and standards of the Digital Communication Environments Institute (IDCE) at the HGK Basel.

In the program, students consolidate their experience in design through practice-guided teaching units and advance their analytical skills by engaging with historical and theoreical fields of knowledge.

Furthermore, the program is offering a variety of opportunities, such as international internships, studying in a rich foreign cultural environment, and an international group of students and professors, who are involved in the current discussions of the internationally oriented design practice and its issues of design research.
