From 3 to 6 July 2024, the students of the Masterstudio Experimental Design / Transversal Design at the Institute Exeperimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM) of the HGK Basel invite you to a happening entitled "To Dance on Tables" in Basel's TransBona Hall on the Dreispitz campus, where speculative models, practices of creative responsibility and instruments of solidarity can unfold in the exceptional space designed with tables.
Tables are our common ground for movement—emerging from different research projects, collaborations and shared attention—in synchronicity and dissonance, following different rhythms in a constant flow. Stepping onto a table represents a shift in attention, an act of transgression, an exploration of different perspectives and interactions within the world.
"To Dance on Tables" is a happening, a public rehearsal, an invitation to dance on tables, surfaces to sit around, to spill and expand into, to find nourishment and rest.
