Artist Lorena Solís Bravo has been awarded a three-month residency in the «HGK Basel @ Atelier Mondial» programme hosted by the Institute Art Gender Nature (IAGN) at HGK Basel, beginning in mid-September 2026.
Lorena Solís Bravo has been awarded a residency in the «HGK Basel @ Atelier Mondial» programme, organised by the Institute Art Gender Nature (IAGN) at HGK Basel with the support of Artus Peru. The residency will begin in mid-September 2026 and will last for three months.
Lorena Solís Bravo works across video, sculpture, ceramics, and artistic research. Her practice investigates human identity as a relational, queer, and continuously transforming condition, shaped through entanglements between human and non-human life, technologies, territories, and systems of knowledge.
She studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, and her work has been supported by institutions including the Mondriaan Fund, AFK, and Stroom. This year she won the CIFO x Ars Electronica Award with Entre barros y fragmentos, premiering at Ars Electronica in September.
