In its current lecture series, running from September 30, 2026, to January 13, 2027, the Institute Digital Communication Environments (IDCE) presents exciting presentations by renowned designers, artists, and studios on the topic of “Perspectives.” The lecture series is curated by Leander Eisenmann, lecturer in Critical Design, Publication Design, Color and Drawing, and Poster Design at the IDCE.
The public lecture series on the topic of “Perspectives” explores various aspects of creative, artistic, or research-based processes and the resulting works by iart, Studio Feixen, Raffinerie, Bivgrafik, Barbara Probst, and Jasmine Guffond. The focus is on the motivations and intentions underlying a work, the question of how and under what circumstances it was created, and the perspectives from which it can be interpreted.
The lectures address topics such as spatial staging and creative engineering, storytelling, information design, the creative process, speculative and critical design, playful experimentation and its potential, and, last but not least, humor.
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The lectures will take place in the auditorium of the HGK Basel. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
