ChallengeEU – FHNW in the European University Alliance

ChallengeEU – FHNW in the European University Alliance

FHNW is part of the European University Alliance ChallengeEU: A European university alliance that is breaking new ground in teaching, research and mobility. The alliance connects FHNW with eight partner universities across Europe, strengthening its position in strategic future fields.

About ChallengeEU

ChallengeEU is an alliance of nine European universities. The alliance aims to equip students with the skills needed to develop innovative solutions to societal challenges through practice-oriented teaching. The alliance focuses on three future-oriented topics:

  • Sustainable Futures
  • Health & Well-Being
  • Smart Digitalisation

These topics coincide with the priorities of the FHNW Strategy 2035 and are addressed in an interdisciplinary manner in all areas, from teaching to research.

ChallengeEU connects nine universities and over 90 industry partners

Like FHNW, all ChallengeEU partner universities are practice-oriented, regionally anchored and internationally oriented. This is also reflected in the more than 90 industry partners from business, society, education, culture and administration involved in the alliance, 13 of which are from north-western Switzerland.
