International Network of the FHNW,

The FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland attaches great importance to international cooperation and the added value of global exchange with a broad spectrum of people, institutions, cultures and systems. It has partnership agreements with more than 300 universities around the world.

swissuniversities

Swissuniversities is the umbrella organization of the Swiss universities and promotes cooperation and coordination between the universities and the various types of universities. It represents the interests of the Swiss universities at the national and international levels.

European University Association (EUA)

European University Association

EUA is the largest and most comprehensive organisation representing more than 800 universities and national rectors’ conferences in 48 European countries. Through continuous interaction with a range of other European and international organisations, EUA ensures that the independent voice of European universities is heard.

Scholars At Risk

Scholars at Risk

Scholars At Risk is an international network of institutions and individuals whose mission is to protect scholars and promote academic freedom.

SAR counts over 500 member institutions worldwide that are actively engaged in:

  • Protection – hosting threatened scholars on temporary teaching, research or study visits
  • Advocacy – raising awareness of and speaking out against attacks on higher education communities
  • Learning – empowering scholars and students to promote academic freedom and other higher education values

Swissnex

swissnex

Swissnex is the Swiss global network connecting Switzerland and the world in education, research and innovation. Their mission it to support their partners’ outreach and active engagement in the international exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent. The six main Swissnex locations and their outposts are established in the world’s most innovative regions: Boston and New York (USA), San Francisco (USA), Shanghai (China), Bangalore (India), Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (Brazil), and Osaka (Japan).

The Swissnex Network is an initiative of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation and is part of the Confederation’s network abroad managed by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

European Association for International Education (EAIE)

European Association for International Education (EAIE)

Founded in 1989, theEAIEis the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. As a member-led organisation, the EAIE provides a platform for learning, networking and knowledge exchange.
