Dr. Linda Ludwig
Dr. Linda Ludwig has been a researcher at the FHNW Academy of Art and Design since 2016 and is responsible for the Research Office on the staff of the academy. In this function, she deals with central topics of the academy in research and is responsible for the coordination of research proposals and projects in art and design research. From 2017 until the beginning of 2021, she also served as the scientific manager of the ECAM Graduate School, responsible for coordinating the university's joint practice-based PhD program in cooperation with the University of Art and Design Linz (Kunstuni Linz), and was significantly involved in setting up the program, which is funded by swissuniversities.
She studied political science, economics and psychology at the LMU Munich (2001 - 2007). Her dissertation "Demokratie als Pfad. Normativität und deliberative Entscheidungen in politischen Institutionen" (2014, Utz: München) she wrote at the Chair of Philosophy IV (Prof. Dr. Julian Nida-Rümelin) at LMU Munich and spent a research period at the Philosophy Department of Georgetown University in Washington DC with Henry S. Richardson.
Her PhD was funded by the Heinrich Böll Foundation (2009 - 2012) and she is a member of the Green Academy of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. She also taught classes on topics in democratic theory at the Department of Philosophy at LMU Munich (2011 - 2012) and was involved in organizing and running regular events on political philosophy at the Philosophy Seminar of the University of Basel (2014 - 2016).
