Final presentations for the Art & Peace CAS programme, Basel Academy of Art and Design

Basel Academy of Art and Design

The Certificate of Advanced Studies programme CAS Art & Peace – a collaboration between HGK Basel, Swiss Peace and Atelier Mondial – combines artistic thinking with peace work and social engagement.

Based at the Institute Art Gender Nature (IAGN) at HGK Basel, this continuing education programme explores how art can be effective in areas of political and social tension. Participants learn to develop participatory projects, incorporate international perspectives and implement their own projects with professional mentoring.

The seven current participants in the CAS Art & Peace programme will present their artistic and socio-cultural works, as well as their personal reflections, to the public on Friday 28 August 2026, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Salon Mondial, the exhibition space of Atelier Mondial in Münchenstein/Basel.

This event is part of the Kunsttage Basel, which will take place from 28 to 30 August 2026.

The CAS Art & Peace programme is aimed at artists who wish to engage in peacebuilding, as well as at experts working in international cooperation who are interested in the role of art.
