Research cooperation with ChallengeEU

ChallengeEU aims to implement a cooperative innovation model at its schools that involve all partners in research and innovation. The FHNW therefore plans to build physical sites for exchange. They foster networking and innovation in the key specialisation areas health and well-being, smart digitalization, and sustainable futures.

ChallengeEU brings together actors from research, business, civil society and administration to develop solutions in the key specialisation areas health and well-being, smart digitalization, and sustainable futures by using the M.A.R.K.E.T. (Multi-Actor Research & Knowledge Exchange Team) approach.

We address NGOs, businesses, public institutions, interest groups, external researches and the general public.

In the context of ChallengeEU, the FHNW provides a co-creation and co-working offer. It aims to develop research and innovation projects in the specialisation fields. At the core is the offer for you to bring in your ideas and projects and develop them through an open multi-actor-approach.

The FHNW gradually builds a network of physical co-creation and co-working spaces. It comprises existing infrastructure such as labs, workshops and classrooms as well as spaces provided by partners. They provide space for exchange and collaboration. Including multiple actors at all stages – from problem definition to solution development – creates an impactful innovation process.

More specifically, M.A.R.K.E.T.s consist of teams und their physical infrastructure at the FHNW (labs, workshops or classrooms) and spaces provided by local partners (innovation spaces, libraries, town halls or museums). The following M.A.R.K.E.T.s already exist:

Pop-ups are temporary meeting spaces in the region. They provide space for discussing specific topics and strengthen the cooperation with existing partners.

Pop-ups are held at several occasions throughout the region.
