A place for jazz to flourish in downtown Basel
Music academy, music school, jazz club, meeting place – and an architectural ensemble that is unique in Europe: Jazzcampus, run by the City of Basel Music Academy and FHNW, is all this and much more besides. It is a place for jazz, for musicians, for Basel as a cultural centre, for the region and for jazz enthusiasts – from Switzerland and indeed all over the world. A laboratory for the most progressive musical genre of our age – proactively embraced, practised and taught right here in Basel.
Jazzcampus is together with Campus Musik-Akademie the study location of Basel Academy of Music.

Appear and Perform
Hauseigene Konzertsäle, Performanceräume und ein Jazzclub eröffnen den Studierenden zahlreiche Auftrittsmöglichkeiten. Die Vernetzung der Hochschule mit den Basler Kulturinstitutionen erweitert das Angebot. Wir engagieren uns dafür, dass unsere Studierenden im Laufe ihres Studiums bei zahlreichen Konzertformaten mitwirken können. Alle Konzerte publizieren wir im Veranstaltungskalender der Musik-Akademie Basel.
