The FHNW charges a processing fee of CHF 1,500 per project for the implementation of a student project at Bachelor's or Master's level (from the 3rd semester). The supervision by the lecturers and the work of the students is not charged.

Any expenses incurred by the students (e.g. travel expenses, purchase of specific equipment for the project) are borne by the client. At the beginning of the project, the students agree with the client on the necessary expenses. If extraordinary costs are incurred for a project (e.g. use of complex infrastructure, expensive consumables, etc.), these expenses are borne by the client. In this case, an individual offer will be made before the project is allocated.

Guarantee

The supervision by lecturers and the commitment of the students promise the success of the project. However, FHNW does not guarantee the complete achievement of the project goals.

Confidentiality

In principle, the project results are presented by the students as part of their work at the FHNW School of Engineering and Environment and at the FHNW School of Computer Science.
Confidential information requires an additional non-disclosure agreement.

Useful content and successful staff recruitment

"Project work has delivered important results that have been implemented directly in practice. In addition to useful content, this work is also ideal for successful staff recruitment. Both sides meet within a limited framework, which creates a high level of clarity regarding offers and expectations in the event of subsequent hiring. Last but not least, cooperation with the FHNW always leads to a new, fresh way of thinking, which helps you to open up your own perspective."
Lorenz Rüedi, Post CH AG, PostLogistics
