About us
The FHNW Library connects, guides and helps.
We put our focus on people and are a hub for knowledge exchange between our stakeholders. To this end, we promote the development of our employees' skills, use our library network and work together with the relevant departments at FHNW.
We design learning and library spaces as open and diverse meeting places. We are present for our library users and actively contribute to a lively campus culture. We form a link connecting the public and the university, both on site and virtually.
We strengthen Open Access and the dissemination of knowledge in the spirit of Open Science. We operate a repository and implement Open Science goals. We make FHNW visible as an institution and thus contribute to the success of our researchers.
We support open scholarly communication by providing access to print and digital sources for study, research, professional and continuing education and promote the critical use of information. We assist with questions about research, data processing and publication.
The Library Board is the strategic management board of the FHNW Library. It is made up of the functional lead of the FHNW Library and the six heads of the branch libraries. The Library Board is responsible for defining the overarching objectives and activities of the FHNW Library based on the FHNW Strategy.
