Medical Engineering and Medical Informatics

Medical Engineering and Medical Informatics

Tailor-made technical solutions for medicine

Medical technology and medical IT combine technical expertise and methods with the knowledge of doctors and health professionals to develop diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. These include innovative analysis and measurement techniques, physiological signal processing, imaging, biomechanics, implant manufacturing and processing complex medical data. Digital transformation, cost pressure, demographic change and the need for high-quality patient care are all shaping the healthcare industry, where developments in medical engineering and medical IT are driving innovation.
