Daniel Blanc studied saxophone at the Bern Jazz School with Christian Baader and Andy Scherrer and graduated in 1986.

Since then he has played on many tours, concerts, studio, radio and television recordings in Europe, the Middle East and Thailand with Clark Terry, Bobby Durham, Jack Walrath, Lew Soloff, Warren Vaché, Dick Oatts, Dado Moroni, Alvin Queen, Glenn Ferris, Jiggs Wigham, James Zollar, Alice Day, Sandy Patton, Bob Mintzer, Dusko Goykovich, Bert Joris, Steve Wilson, Scott Robinson, Brad Leali, Peter Appleyard, Reggie Johnson, Joe Haider, Andy Scherrer, Matthieu Michel, Umberto Arlati, Jean Toussaint, Zurich Jazz Orchestra, DRS Big-Band, Kammerorchester Basel, Sinfonieorchester Basel and many more. many more.

In addition to his own quartet, Daniel Blanc can currently also be heard in the following formations: Joe Haider Jazz Orchestra, David Regan Orchestra, Walter Jauslin Quintett.
