The European Association for International Education (EAIE) has announced the official results for the 2018-2020 EAIE Leadership, some of the most coveted positions in European higher education. Our Head of International Relations Prof. Robert Buttery has been elected to the General Council, the highest governing body, after having served as Chair of the Business Education Committee.

The EAIE is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. It is a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institution. The General Council focuses on the big picture of the purpose of the EAIE and is tasked with developing a long-term vision for the association. The General Council also ensures that the EAIE keeps the best interests of its members at heart in all it does.

„Internationalisation of an institution requires initiative and commitment on a personal level. The election of Robert Buttery into the General Council of EAIE is proof of such an extraordinary personal commitment. It is also a unique opportunity for FHNW to gain momentum and visibility in the international community of universities.“
